As people start learning about CBD, it often takes time to figure out when exactly they should use it. Since CBD isn't something we grew up with, we don't always think to pull out CBD when we should. In this Beginner's Guide, we'll share some steps we recommend you take as you incorporate CBD into your daily routine.
Step 1: Discover What CBD Products Work for You
Depending on your body chemistry, body weight, preferences, and lifestyle, you may be drawn to certain types of CBD products. We recommend taking this CBD Compatibility Quiz to see what works best for you. Take the quiz
Step 2: Replace ____ with CBD
Since CBD just jumped on the scene federally in 2018, it's not exactly natural for us to think about using CBD during certain moments. That's why we are providing a list of common remedies we grew up with that you can now replace with CBD.
Instead of taking a shot (of alcohol) to take the edge off, try taking CBD drops or gummies
Instead of drinking wine before bed, try CBD Night Night Drops
In addition to using ice for sore muscles, apply CBD Roll-On or Salve
Instead of melatonin (or other sleeping aids), try CBD Night Night Drops
Since we tend to be creatures of habit, it may take time for CBD to come to mind when we are in a stressful, painful, anxious, or annoying position. The next step helps us with this.
Step 3: Be Aware of Your Mental & Physical Health
It takes self-awareness to be in touch with how we actually feel. Many of us are moving so fast that we don't always check-in with our mind and body. In between working, eating, binge watching, sleeping, talking, networking, and thinking, we have got to know how we FEEL. We recommend the following to tune into your body and mind:
Meditate
Exercise
Yoga
Nature Walks
You can't know what you need until you know where you are.
Step 4: Finding the Right Dosage for You
Depending on what you're using CBD for, your dosage could change. For example, someone could take 1 gummy before their morning meeting and take 2 or 3 of those gummies before bed for a restful sleep. Finding the right dosage can be tricky, but not impossible.
Firstly, your dosage depends on your body chemistry, weight, condition you want to soothe and the concentration of the CBD product you're using. Tuning into your mental and physical health (Step 3) is a huge component to finding the right dose. The condition range (noted in the dosage guide) notes how severe your condition is. For example, your anxiety could be mild or severe or you have a mildly difficult time sleeping or it could be severe.
Here's a standard dosage guide for you to use as you find the right dosage for you.

Step 5: Explore Examples of How Others Use CBD
As we embark on a new journey with CBD, it's really helpful to see how others are using it. Over the years, our customers have shared key moments they use CBD (includes ingestible and topical CBD).
Here's a collection of those critical moments:
Before going to a meeting with someone who gets under your skin
On the way to a social/networking event
Before meditation, yoga, or other self-care activity
When you're rushing and can't find your keys, phone, etc.
Before having sex (to help with sexual anxiety)
When you have a headache
During an argument or disagreement
Before and after a workout
Before filming an important scene or going on stage
Before and during a massage
